Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet

Also, Patrick Mother Fucking Stump, it is a good thing your precious outweighs your tl;dr. !!! And there's still another half of the interview to be posted next week!

♥MCR♥ Why did it take over a year for the decent quality footage to show up? o.O

Metro Station - self titled album (zip/mp3)
(Metro Station wiki | Metro Station myspace)

Trace Cyrus is so lol-tastic that I don't even know what to do with myself.

He really seemed to enjoy singing "Wish We Were Older" to the flock of tiny girl things staring in wonderment last night. (They were sporting a disturbing amount of Hello Kitty merch and I don't really know why. There was also a disturbing amount of Hannah Montana paraphernalia going on at that show.*) At one point he changed the line to "wish you were older" instead. :-D
At least he makes music about his pedophilic urges instead of acting on them?

Anyhow, this album is incredibly fun and catchy. I'm prone to listening to it on repeat. Very fun techno-y beats. Everyone should listen to it. Yes, I mean YOU**.

I was going to rec my favorite tracks, but actually, it's pretty much all of them. I really have a hard time narrowing it down. Ask me to name my favorites and you basically get all of them in whichever order I happen to think of them in at that moment. I would maybe put "Shake It" and "Seventeen Forever" a smidge above the rest, though, if you really need a place to start. Ooh, and "Disco". And... okay, I'm stopping.

*It boggles my mind that anyone could possibly be a fan of both Miley Cyrus and Trace Cyrus, but then again I am unironically a fan of Trace Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus, so I'm probably not actually any better.

** TONYA, I ALSO MEAN YOU. THIS IS THE BEST CRACK EVER.

The Cab - One of THOSE Nights
The Cab - Risky Business

Myspace rips (I finally beat the website into not fucking them up, Yay!). I would have a real version of the first MP3 except the FBR website is a stupid piece of shit and doesn't like my pre-order code or something. *kicks webstore* I just want to get my cd some time!

In other news: Panic on AOL Sessions.
Prettyprettypretty.
Why do I not have video rips of this? Because I cannot find them, that's why. Somebody help me out?

10 days til MCR. :-D
So. Freaking. Much. Snow.

The last time we had this much snow was like fifteen years ago. Seriously.

Panic! B-sides!!!

PatD - Behind the Sea (alternate version)
Ryan singing! *flail* The voice lessons seriously paid off. A lot.
So mellow. Wow. I really want to know what the not-alternate version sounds like. Only two and half weeks, sigh.

PatD - Do You Know What I'm Seeing (alternate version)
Brendon!!! Melodic. Gorgeous.

I like these both, but where are they keeping all the dancability that they said was still going to be in the album? Somewhere in the not-alternate versions, I'm hoping.
Through some trials and tribulations, I have acquired my tickets for the Honda Civic show in St. Louis on 5-30. Very thrilling. Indianapolis is still in the decision-making queue, mostly depending on how much my girlfriend will kill me for making her sit through Panic's new stuff (which is already driving her batty) twice. (But I really want to take you to the show, Lauraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!)

Speaking of Panic's new stuff, here's a download of Nine in the Afternoon if anybody doesn't have it yet.

Also, it's already been embedded in my f-list like 4 times today, so I will just link to it instead, but this is seriously the most stoned interview ever. Ryan and Jon, how so high? My god.
My favorite part might be when they got asked which song they were most looking forward to playing live and Ryan replied with, "That's like asking you who your favorite kid is *scratches head* ...if you're a parent of... fifteen." Seriously, how do their publicists let them get away with showing up to interviews in this state?

I think everytime someone asks how this album will be different from the first one and Jon gets the chance to say "It's got different songs on it," or some variation thereof, I'm pretty sure a fairy gets its wings or something. Lolz. Though Ryan's answer of "Jon's on it!" and "I play the harmonica!" are pretty ♥-worthy as well.

I was going to post about this a couple hours ago... but then the power went out forever and I had to sit around and drink by candlelight instead. (What?)
Also, do you know how difficult it is to put together a lite-brite design by candlelight? Jeez, it is ridiculously hard. And then we ran out of orange and pink. :(

Oh, in case your f-list happens to be made of, like, fail or something, here's the track that's trekking 'round the 'net from the (zomg, only 3 more weeks to go!) new Cobra Starship album: Guilty Pleasure

Gabe+Patrick= ♥
*wantses*

St. Louis isn't *that* far...
And there are lawn seats!
And-and Fall Out Boy!

I could take off work... ... ...

*wantses bad*

Somebody talk me out of this? Or into it? Whichever.

Oh, and while I'm posting anyway... here. Have the other Gym Class Heroes song featuring Patrick Stump, "Clothes Off!".

And now... season finale of Dresden! Eeee!
So, you know how that song "Cupid's Chokehold" by Gym Class Heroes rocks my socks? Yeah.

Anyhow, Jen has been driving herself crazy because parts of it sounded familiar to her. So she went and figured it out.
Maybe you've noticed this as well? How the beat and some of the words are familiar?
Especially when Patrick Stump (you know, that guy from Fall Out Boy?) sings "Take a look at my girlfriend / She's the only one I got"?

It would be familiar because they sample the song "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp. Very weird.
