*wanders into house at about seven in the morning*
Mom: "Hi, where've you been?"
Me: "Sobering up so I could drive home?"
Mom: "Oh, well that's a good thing I guess. When did you get in?"
Me: "...now."
Mom: "Oh. If you see a half naked stranger wandering around, it's my friend Michael. Get some sleep."
Michael: *wanders in* "Hey, nice to meet you."
Me: "Ditto. Bye."
That is an approximation of the conversation that just happened to me.
A couple more things that Zoe really, really does not want to hear about.
SERIOUSLY ZOE, DON'T CLICK THE CUT. YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW.
( So, I went a lovely party with some friends... )
I'm going to sleep now. A lot.

I have not checked my friendslist in 3 days, but before I go digging through the skip100 madness, I feel the need to update about my weekend. Here are the highlights, for you enjoyment.
Friday (Rita's Birthday):
-Went to work.
-Class cancelled.
-Went to the bank.
-Lunch at Panera.
-Liquor store & Kroger's.
-Went to Daniel's for Rita's birthday shindig.
-Started drinking at 4PM (Mmmm, rum&coke=love).
-Was tipsy.
-Pouted at Rita for not being drunk enough to let me grope her.
-Groped Laura.
-Drank more (including but not limited to: watermelon martinis, cider, beer, apple flavored wine cooler, watermelon flavored wine cooler, & blackberry wine).
-Was drunk.
-Pouted at Rita more.
-Groped Laura A LOT.
-Drank tequila (I don't really know how many shots I took, but it probably fell in the category of "too many" & Daniel claims I drank half the bottle. I'm sure I had *some* assistance in that... I think.).
-Was very drunk.
-Wandered around topless for a good while as shirts are for losers.
-Passed the fuck out in the middle of Daniel's floor sometime after 1AM (I apologize to the people that had to step over me to get to the bathroom. And thanks for the blanket, Daniel!).
Saturday (Zoe's birthday):
-Woke up on Daniel's floor.
-Had breakfast.
-Realized breakfast was a bad idea when I spent the day before drinking for more than 8 hours.
-Returned to dorm.
-Took nap.
-Went home to see family.
-Went to the drive-in.
-Watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, not quite as bad as forewarned.
-Watched Are We Done Yet?, regretted every dying brain cell despite existence of Dr. Cox.
-Went back home & ate some of Zoe's ice cream cake.
-Realized I am missing a chip from one of my front teeth and have no idea when, where, or how this happened.
-Played DDR with Zoe on her shiny new mat for a while, sucked muchly.
-Went to bed.
Sunday (My nephew, Hunter's, birthday):
-Woke up much later than intended.
-Entertained self by sucking at DDR some more.
-Played with nephewlet.
-Had some of Zoe's *other* ice cream cake, with added Hunter celebration-ness.
-Priced clothing for the yard sale my sis is having next weekend for far longer than I want to think about.
-Left for dorm at 9PM, eep.
The end. *dies*
In other news, this week is my last week of classes... and I have a bajillion things to do. I need to start working on the 10-page paper I have due this week and yet I have done nothing. I meant to make an outline tonight, but I accidentally hung out with Laura for an hour and a half instead. My bad.

So... I went to a hallloween party yesterday. Yes, that's right, I said halloween. Blame
poetsworld! He's the one that threw the party!
Anyhow, I think it qualified as a definite success. There was an impressive number of people imbibing an impressive amount of alcohol (though mostly not me as I had to drive) and good times were had by all. Especially those of us molesting
ladykittykatwku. That is what
ktprincesswitch and I live for, after all, public make-out sessions with declared "non-lesbians". (Declared repeatedly. And loudly. To anyone who would listen and a lot of people who wouldn't. *g* Apparently, it takes some of the effect out of your words when you have to remove your tongue from the mouth of a girl sitting in your lap in order to yell, "I'm not a lesbian!") Yay corruption!
And then of course, after the rest of the party pretty much left, Rita, Jen & I kept... meaning to leave. But we forgot. And Daniel didn't kick us out. Silly Daniel. So... we ended up playing Wii and card games until nearly daylight, by which point we thought, perhaps it would be best if everyone endeavored to get some sleep. ...of course, then we went to Waffle House on our way home so... yeah, we suck at sleep. I did manage to get to sleep by about 7 AM. That counts for something, right?
I love my friends.

Yes, I've been back for several days. It just took me this long to get back into a normal enough state of mind to like... exist.
Amsterdam (and Brussels and London) was great and I might get motivated enough to type up a detailed log in a few days, with supplementary pictures.
Summary: The Atlantic Ocean is very big and takes a damn long time to fly over. But this is less intolerable when you get to watch House on the plane. Amsterdam is very pretty and museum-ful and thus I spent a large portion of the three weeks wandering around taking in the sights (...and shopping) and going to lots of museums.
Brussels is also very pretty and has the novelty of being the place where I, for the first time in my life, got drunk on just beer.
London is gorgeous and wonderful. I saw Avenue Q (which was fuckin' awesome), spent a lot of time getting nearly run over, and slept in the airport the night before we left.
...I guess that's everything immediately relevant.
Anyway, having gotten back into the swing of daily life, I then proceeded to get completely trashed last night and thus am kinda.... blah, today, due to hangover-y-queasiness. Yay for life.
I am ridiculously happy to be back and able to compulsively refresh my f-list again. I missed you. *hugs f-list*

What killed LJ the other day, in case you hadn't heard already.
Also, according to my stomach, eating leftover chinese food straight from the fridge first thing in the morning after drinking A Lot the night before is not a great idea. Oh well.
I should be showering and/or packing stuff up and putting it in the car, but I still have time.

So, my sister's Halloween party was pretty good. Even though I didn't know/want to hang around a damn lot of the people there.
That's not the point, though. The point is that there was Smirnoff and plenty of it.
I think I drank about 7. Which is impressive largely due to the fact that my bladder is the size of a peanut.
Anyway, Happy Halloween everybody!!!
I dressed up in a cute witchy costume I got at Wal-Mart and I'm wearing it to work and to my classes today. I love Halloween!

Your Gemini Drinking Style |
![]() You're so naturally chatty and short-attention-spanned that it's just hard to tell sometimes. You amaze people by conversing with finesse and allusions, then doing something to belie an extremely advanced state of intoxication, like puking in your shoe. You possess the magic ability to flirt successfully (and uninfuriatingly, which is very tricky) with several people at once. You like to order different cocktails every round -- repetition is boring! You may create a drinking theme (like yellow drinks: beer, sauvignon blanc and limoncello) for your own amusement. |
Your Signature Cocktails |
Easily bored Geminis need some stimulation in their drinks -- those with two parts, like a black and tan (or just a double), are particularly appealing. Otherwise, you'll drink all over the map, ordering frou-frou drinks to add to you collection of cocktail monkeys or going for whiskey rocks because you're feeling rather noir. Gemini rules the herb anise -- home-infused anise vodka is sure to win you over. |
Your Celebrity Drinking Buddies |
Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Kylie Minogue, the Olson Twins, Colin Farrell, Ice Cube, Natalie Portman, and Mr. T |

So... there was much with the fireworks today. Yeah. Much. Like... two and a half hours. And I felt it my patriotic duty to drink beer while I was setting them off. Well, mike's hard cranberry lemonade anyway. I wasn't quite desperate enough to drink beer.
Oh, and after dinner my sister's boyfriend proposed to her. And she said yes. And thus there was congratulatory drinking after the fireworks.
So I've had... two and a half Mike's and... a glass of Boone Hill "Sangria" (which is *nasty*, btw) and two glasses of Blackberry Merlot (which was rather good)... so I'm a bit tipsy. Just a little. A tiny bit. And there is no need to tell me of any typos that may or may not exist in this entry.
But anyway, I need to go move my laundry so that I will have clothes to wear tomorrow. And I really need to go take a shower. Because I'm going to Alabama tomorrow. But mom swore we'd be back in time to go to the drive-in. Because I want to go see Bewitched and Batman Begins.
Very sleepy. But I need to go finish washing my sheets. And then shower. Before I fall over. Really.
Random factiod of the day: My mommy bought me a link for my charm bracelet that says "I <3 My Girlfriend".
ETA: Oh, and also, I have a blister on my toe from a spark flying of a firework I was lighting. And it hurts more than anything that small has a right to.

Went to Sam's Club today for the first time. Very interesting. I gave mommy all my money so she'd buy me Smirnoff. But I am happy because now I have Black Cherry, Green Apple, Watermelon, and Raspberry Smirnoff Twists. And also three flavors of Starbucks frapuccinos. And a package of 24 packs of green apple flavored Sour Punch Straws... what? It was only $7!
Anyway, Helen came over and watched QAF with me and Zoe. I think I'm supposed to wake up and go with Zoe and mom to BG in the morning... actually in about 4 hours... I might wake up long enough to tell them to leave me alone. Will give it more thought after I finish my Smirnoff.
So, after QAF and re-watching the last ep of Lost with Zoe because she hadn't seen it yet, Helen was like, "Wanna go to Wafflehouse?" And I was like, "It's midnight... what the hell? Let's go."
Yeah, so we went to Wafflehouse and then we went to Wal-Mart. Bad, bad, evil place that it is. I didn't manage to escape without buying any dvds. But at least I only bought 2 and they were both from the $5.50 bin. I got "The Forsaken" which I keep almost buying every time I see it, and "Earth Girls Are Easy" which is the best bad movie evAr. Really. Plus, Jeff Goldblum is way hot in it.
Movies I successfully did *not* buy: "Speed", "Con-Air", "Desperado", "Varsity Blues", and "Stand By Me".
Now I'm going to finish my flavored beer, finish watching "Earth Girls Are Easy", then go to sleep. I think Helen fell asleep already. Oops. I think she meant to go home tonight. I don't think she's slept at home since... Thursday possibly?
Also, uploaded a couple of Dom icons earlier, so look forward to several GIPs in the near future.

Thursday night, Helen and I stayed up until like 6 AM drinking wine coolers... and then I got up like 5 hours later. *rawr* But I did get about an hour-long nap in the car on the way to Louisville with Helen to visit her friend John. We decided to stop in Horse Cave to see the 24-hour porn store there that's supposed to be really nifty. We turned the wrong way after we got off the highway and ended up going like ten miles in the wrong direction. We had to stop and ask directions. Apparently gas station attendants don't like being asked directions to the porn store. She *glared* at us! o.O; But, turns out, it's actually really easy to find the place if you just turn the right direction. Oh well. It was fairly nifty. We wandered around for a half hour or so looking at stuff. I had to tell Helen that I was *not* going to let her go into the peep show or the theatre. *sigh* And John called her while we were there to ask her why we weren't in Louisville yet... oops. We got on the road an hour or two later than we'd planned and then unexpected stops, so... yeah, we were running a bit late. He seemed mildly amused to hear that we were at an adult toy store when we were supposed to be in Louisville. Fortunately, he's known Helen for a long time, so this detour did not surprise him. So that was fun, then we got back on the highway and continued heading north.
We kept seeing signs for Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, so we figured, What the hell? We're already late; let's stop! So we got off on the exit it said and then panicked because there was an A exit and a B exit and we didn't know which one to take. Apparently, we chose the wrong one. We ended up going 15 miles down some random highway before we found a place where we could turn around. We were beginning to worry that we would be stuck on the wrong highway for eternity as there were no exits for such a long time. I think the highway was Western Kentucky Parkway but I can't swear to that. So, yeah, we found a place to turn around and travelled the same fifteen miles in the other direction. We decided it wasn't worth it to give Lincoln another try. So we continued on our way to Louisville. The rest of the trip was uneventful.
So, when we got there, we found out that John wasn't getting off work until 11 PM, so we had rather a lot of time to kill as it was like 4 in the afternoon. So we decided to go see a movie at the cheap theater. "Ice Princess" with Michelle Trachtenburg happened to be starting just when we got there, so we decided to go see it. It's a very cute movie. And Michelle Trachtenburg is hot. Way hot.
Anyway, after we got out we still had a long time to kill, so we went to the mall and walked around for a while. I went to the Godiva store and bought a present for my mommy (whose birthday is Friday) and my sister Tamie (whose birthday is Tuesday). (Yes, there are an inordinate number of Gemini's in my immediate family.) We wandered around, got some coffee (Mmm, caramel macchiato!) and then went to FYE. We spent half an hour or so looking through a random box of audio cassettes just for the novelty value of it. *Tapes* Crazy. I actually ended up buying two to listen to in the car on the way home because Helen has a tape player in her car. I got Sex Pistols "Never Mind the Bollocks" and a random Motley Crue tape. I also bought the new System of a Down cd because I have an unhealthy love for them. Really. I'm listening to it now. It makes me happy.
After we got bored of the mall we still had much time to kill so we went *back* to the theater and saw "The Pacifier" which is a cute movie which I'd actually already seen but Helen hadn't. I still find it hilarious when the little girl asks Vin Diesel why his boobs are so big. It's just priceless. "Do you have to wear a bra?" :-D
By that time, John was off work so we went to his dorm. Which is way nicer than ours. No, I'm not jealous at all. Nope. We mostly sat around and watched tv with John and his roommates. The guys wanted to make Jello shots, but they didn't have any vodka or gin. So they got the bright idea of making them with tequila. If this *ever* seems like a good idea to you, allow me to tell you now... it isn't. Really. It's nasty. *blegh* I actually had a couple. Bad idea. Anyway, then we watched Boondock Saints (Yay!) and played around with the strobe light, then finally went to sleep. I actually got almost six hours of sleep that night which was an improvement on the few days before it. o.O;
We headed out of Louisville around 11:30-ish AM. We had lunch at McDonald's. They have Philly Chese Steaks at McDonald's now. What's up with that? o.O; Surprisingly, it actually wasn't half bad.
On the way home, we decided to stop at the *other* 24-hour porn store we saw on the way to Louisville, in Upton. It was much the same, a little bigger, but it didn't have a peep show or anything. I bought one of those little plastic livestrong-type bracelets that said "Twisted" on it for my little sister, just so I could tell her it came from the porn store. ^.^
We continued on our way south, then we came across Dinosaur Land. It's actually a kinda nifty place. They have life-size dinosours and a museum and stuff. Neither of us had ever been and we had some time to kill, so we went. It was very nice, and I got some nifty souvenirs (Yay, squished pennies!). I do wish I hadn't worn my brand-new sandals as my feet were not happy after a half-mile walk. Meh. Yeah, so then we headed home.
Got home, changed clothes, then turned around to go to Zoe's end of the year girl scout banquet. It was incredibly long and tedious. And I spent most of the time chasing my nephew around. And ran into some people I would have been happy to never see again in my life. But I survived. Then Helen decided to kidnap her brother, James, to come with us to the movies at midnight. We went home, killed some time, then headed to the theater.
On the drive to the theater, I spent most of it staring out the window entranced by the pretty moon and clouds and night sky. Was the moon full last night? I'm too lazy to go look it up. If it wasn't full, it was damn near. There were a lot of tiny little clouds rather than large hazy ones, so the moon kept peeking in and out from behind the clouds. The sky was a pretty blue-ish gray color and the clouds were like dark-gray leopard spots. It made me very happy.
Helen and I say Kingdom of Heaven. Yay! And Zoe and James saw Revenge of the Sith. Kingdom of Heaven... was a really good movie, despite the fact that Orlando Bloom was only shirtless for like 10 seconds. *Damn him* I was impressed with how well he managed to pull off stoicism during the early parts of... actually the majority of the movie. About a half hour into it I turned to Helen and was like "I don't think he's spoken a dozen words thus far in the movie... WTF is up with that?" I liked the ending, and the ending is the most important part of a movie for me. It occurs to me that I've been to the movies like.... four times in as many days. Woah. How odd. o.O;
Got lots and lots of sleep last night which makes me happy after 3 nights without enough. Especially since I'm not likely to get much tonight as I think I'm getting up in the morning to go to BG with mom. Mrr.
I also took my contacts out last night for the first time in... 3 days. Yeah, I'm a bad Kt. My eyeballs are going to fall out. *whispers* Please don't tell my girlfriend! *pout* I really need to change to a fresh pair, but I still haven't found them. I swear, I've cleaned and put things away, but my room seems to have eaten my contact lenses. *rawr* Bad room!
Now I need to go find out if anyone has taken Kinsey back to the video store yet, as I haven't watched it yet. Damnit, I rented the movie and I haven't gotten to see it! Since it's due back in less than two hours, I don't think I'll be able to watch it even if it is still here. Grr. I may just have to give up and buy it.
Note to self: Don't forget to write up rant later about Pink Floyd and parents.

I still find it hilarious when the little girl asks Vin Diesel why his boobs are so big. It's just priceless. "Do you have to wear a bra?" :-D
By that time, John was off work so we went to his dorm. Which is way nicer than ours. No, I'm not jealous at all. Nope. We mostly sat around and watched tv with John and his roommates. The guys wanted to make Jello shots, but they didn't have any vodka or gin. So they got the bright idea of making them with tequila. If this *ever* seems like a good idea to you, allow me to tell you now... it isn't. Really. It's nasty. *blegh* I actually had a couple. Bad idea. Anyway, then we watched Boondock Saints (Yay!) and played around with the strobe light, then finally went to sleep. I actually got almost six hours of sleep that night which was an improvement on the few days before it. o.O;
Helen and I say Kingdom of Heaven. Yay! And Zoe and James saw Revenge of the Sith. Kingdom of Heaven... was a really good movie, despite the fact that Orlando Bloom was only shirtless for like 10 seconds. *Damn him* I was impressed with how well he managed to pull off stoicism during the early parts of... actually the majority of the movie. About a half hour into it I turned to Helen and was like "I don't think he's spoken a dozen words thus far in the movie... WTF is up with that?" I liked the ending, and the ending is the most important part of a movie for me. It occurs to me that I've been to the movies like.... four times in as many days. Woah. How odd. o.O;
