I had my sis cut and dye my hair tonight. I decided to go kinda dark since I've been mostly blonde-ish for the last couple of years. It looks rather nice, if a bit shorter than what I had in mind. A good start to the new year anyway I think.

Did a bit of shopping today, bought a few romance novels, some beading stuff, and a gorgeous 2006 Salvador Dali calendar to hang on my wall. I resisted buying the Buffy calendar at the mall, even though it was half off. If they still have some by February (they didn't seem to be moving very well) I might break down and buy one once they go 75% off.

Girlfriend bought like 6 calendars. I have no idea what she was thinking.

Anyway, girlfriend and sis are both in bed already, so I guess I'll go entertain myself reading internet porn until I feel sleepy.

Went to BG with Mom and Zoe today. Bought hairdye and I died Zoe's hair blue-black when we got home. She wanted it to be all shocking and prettiful for her first day back at school tomorrow. I think she shall succeed.

We also bought lots of Neopets toys while we were out today. We got little Plushies at Limited Too (a way lot of them), as well as a tiny Grundo figurine, two more voice-activated pets, and a large talking plushie at Wal-mart. Crazy.

Got everything else Jen and I will need for our bed *except* the sheets. They didn't have any I liked at Walmart (well, not any I liked that came in King size) but we didn't have time to go to TJ Maxx so we'll do that next week I guess.

I watched the first ep of Oz season 4 last night. Oh em gee! *oz-squee* I can't decide if I shall watch more tonight or if I will finish watching the other two eps of Read or Die that Zoe and I forgot to watch the other day.

Oh! And also at Wal-mart today, we got a way lot of movies that we probably shouldn't have - but anyway we finally bought Gattaca! Yay! - Which reminds me of Equilibrium - which is also a good movie.... why haven't I bought it yet? I need to. Oh, and I saw the awesome-ist Equilibrium vid today and Jen, you totally need to watch it. It is here. It is so pretty. I guess the rest of you can go watch it too. If you want. And if you've seen Equilibrium. Cuz otherwise it might not make much sense.

Might add more to this entry later if I think of anything important about today that I'm forgetting - oh wait! And we bought muffin mix! Which is very important because I have been having muffin cravings! I'm going to go make some blueberry muffins in about an hour. *Mini* blueberry muffins because mom got a mini-muffin pan today, which is totally the coolest thing in the universe. Jen, I promise I will make you muffins when we get back to school. Raspberry ones. And everybody else can have muffins too, because I <3 you all. <33333

For the benefit of those who weren't actually there at the time, I got a haircut last night. Yay! Actually, when I say that I got a haircut, what I really mean is that I conned krisskyo into chopping half of it off with a pair of kitchen scissors. Actually, by the time we got to cutting mine, Gretchen (her RA) had randomly wandered in and loaned us a pair of actual hair cutting scissors, so except for the parts I did myself cuz I got impatient, my hair was mostly cut with real hair cutting scissors. So, anyway, I chopped off about half of my hair so now it reaches just above my shoulders and I am very pleased. I also re-orange-ified it so it's all vibrant and my roots aren't showing anymore. Yay!
Plus, Jen got hers done last night, too. So now it's all black and short and nifty. Together, our hair makes Halloween!

Why am I not studying? I really should be studying. I have a Sociology Statistics test tomorrow. I'm not really worried about it though. So far the class has been really easy.
If I don't get some studying in tomorrow I will be suckin' in Japanese, though. Tuesday was like crazy-over-my-head-ness. It's like, there I was, happily swimming in the ocean, chilling out, when all of a sudden, a huge wave crashed over my head. Then the undertow started sucking me down. And I got stung by a jellyfish. All at the same time. Yeah, that metaphor's about right.

Re-dyed my hair yesterday. I got quite a few comments on it today, which was nice. Of course people probably only noticed my hair due to my extreme slob-ish-ness manner of dress today due to the fact that I woke up at 8:23 this morning and I was supposed to be at work at 8:00. I think I dressed faster today than I ever have before in my life. I was at work 8 minutes after I woke up and it takes about 5 minutes to walk there... Luckily I did not get *severely* bitched at.

Anniversary is tomorrow! Yay-ness!

And what have I been doing instead of working like I should be? Playing SNES, watching L&O ep about some woman who was cheating on her husband with a woman, and finding gorgeous LJ icons, like the one on this post. Well, I've gotta have some happiness in my life, right?

I only have one more class that I haven't been to yet, Japanese. That should be intersting. I'm liking my Physical Anthro. class, which I knew I would because I had the prof last year and she's great. I *love* my Sociology and Statistics professor. He's hilarious.
In other news, I died my hair purple last night. Which was fun. And it looks great. I'm very happy. Jen's is now burgundy with fuchsia highlights. And Laura has fuchsia and purple highlights. Yay for us! Strangely, I've gotten very few comments on my hair. Danny gave me a funny look.
Happy news of the moment: the bookstore sells movies now! OMG(ess)!!!11 Today, I bought the best of So Graham Norton (hooray for gay, british, late night talk show hosts), Camp (squee!!), and Trainspotting (double squee!!!). And Jen and I met some guy in the bookstore while we were looking through the movies. His name is Will and he lives on the seventh floor of PFT. I'm only including that information because otherwise I will forget it. He seemed pretty cool. Maybe we'll run into him again sometime.
They also have some TV show box sets, which would be very bad except for the fact that I already have Buffy.
Other exciting news: Jen and I ate lunch together today (no, that's not the exciting part) and we were randomly playing with our Tomagotchis and they had babies! Hooray for baby Tomagotchis! It's so cute, because right now they still have the adult one and it's taking care of the baby. Squee! Okay, I'm done now. I shall attempt to go locate my friends so that I can squee at them in person...
