Note to self: Do not turn on tv prior to Crossing Jordan actually beginning. I spent five minutes trying to figure out why A&E was showing a two-hour special on *cleavage*. Yeah. No idea.

Apparently, in LJ, you can't go back further than *exactly* fourteen days on your f-list.... huh? So in attempting to catch up on my f-list I may have missed about half a day. I mostly skimmed it all anyway. Tell me if I missed anything drastic. I did read all your fic, Kate -- You rock, incidentally. I love everything you write.

Hmm... meant to get on AIM prior to... 3:30 AM. But when I sat down at my computer I was just gonna check my e-mail... then I got distracted and ended up reading my f-list backlog instead. Oops.

It feels nice to need to refresh my f-list again. LJ, how I have missed you.
Things also missed an inexplicable amount:
Listening to my favorite music on random.
Also, listening to music that is not country/hip hop crap.
Drinking Pepsi from a can.
Sleeping all day.
Not melting.
TV
Teh internets.
My puppies.
Good food.

Things to do this weekend:
Set off lots of fireworks -- I really should do this during the weekend and not on a weekend because I do not want my neighbors to shoot me/have me arrested.
Go to the drive-in -- because they are showing Bewitched and Batman Begins -- the first time this summer they have played two movies I actually want to watch. Really need to do this Saturday or Sunday night as mom has to work on Sat. so staying out past midnight would be bad.
Go to Alabama and search in the knotholes of trees for the beetle token. @$%&%$@ A Treasure's Trove &$@# Mom wants to go take another look around a park that she's *already been to* because she thinks she and Zoe might have just missed it the first time around. Or something. So apparently we're taking a *day-trip* to Alabama on Sunday. I guess that pushes the drive-in to Sat. and the fireworks to Fri. though mom won't really want to watch fireworks when she has to go to work in the morning, either, but oh well.
Note to self: Call Helen and ask if she's coming by this weekend and wants to watch fireworks and/or go to the drive-in with us.

I miss BG. Perhaps I can go Monday.

And now I think I shall go watch Oz season 2. Or at least the first ep anyway. Hopefully this time I will not fall asleep until *after* it ends.

...it just occured to me that I am hungry. Apparently two weeks of Rebecca offering me food at regular intervals has left me incapable of recognizing hunger. O.o;; So I guess I'll go find something to eat and *then* watch Oz. The sad part is that it was when I was trying to decide which mood to click on that I realized I am hungry.

Am back. Two weeks in a hot tent selling fireworks and no internet is much longer than a regular two weeks. But on the bright side, I bought much pretty fireworks that I'll prolly set off either this week or Sat. night. It's a good thing you can't hear me talking because I've become infected by a deep TN accent which is very different and much worse than regular KY accent and much harder to resist apparently. I maintain that I slipped into it to appease the customers so they would buy more fireworks. Though apparently they can all easily distinguish between *real* TN and KY trying to be TN. *I* can't. Anyway, two weeks of being driven slowly (or actually rather quickly) insane by Rebecca. I like her. Really. I do. In *small* doses. Like about 20 minutes.

Got an A in my Eng 200 class. Despite the fact that I was 10 minutes late for the final. Damn traffic. And I bullshat my way through the majority of the test.

My phone is chirping at me. I should probably plug it in.

Two weeks listening to naught but country music may have permanently warped my brain. Anyhow I have rediscovered a long-lost liking for country. (Except for old Garth Brooks stuff, which I always liked.) So now I'm trying to download like every country song I've heard in the last two weeks. Which is easier than it sounds. For some reason, country stations seem to have exceptionally small playlists. They just play the same stuff over and over and over and over...

I still haven't mailed my dad his father's day present. Crap. If I wait long enough, I guess I can just send it to him at home instead of on the ship...

I've been awake for about... 43 hours straight. Spent vast portions of it re-reading HP & the Order of the Phoenix in preparation for the next book coming out in 10 days (*squee!*). We kept the tent open all night on the 4th. (not that we got much business. it was actually pretty pitiful) then had to stay open today and pack everything up and stuff. Didn't leave to go home until after 8. Got home a little after 10 and Bruce made me dinner (yay!) and I hung out with Zoe a bit. I'll see mom and aileen and luke tomorrow I guess. I keep oscillating (sp? too lazy to check) between being so tired I can't keep my eyes open and being wide awake. Hmm. I really am going to go to bed soon. I feel mostly human now that I'm clean and fed. Well-rested should fill my life meter the rest of the way up with little red hearts. (what? don't you live in an old-school rpg world?)

Helen was supposed to come by tonight after work, wasn't she? What time does she get off work anyway? I don't remember. I'm sure if she gets in after I'm asleep she'll wake me up. Or attempt to. I think, once I fall out, I might stay out for an exceptionally long time.

I've checked my e-mails from the last two weeks. I'm still working on catching up on my f-list. *sigh* I love you guys, really I do! I'll try to catch up tomorrow night depending on how long I sleep. And somewhere in there I need to watch Crossing Jordan and Queer as Folk (which apparently Zoe *didn't* tape the first weekend I was gone, though she did *watch* it).

One of the things I ordered right before I left still hasn't arrived and I don't know why. *grr*

Final thought: I've been giving it a lot of thought while trapped in a tent with not much else to do and I think I want to get a tattoo. Of an infinity symbol (looks like a sideways 8 if you don't know) on my right outside ankle. I was thinking a little ways up, just above the bony bit, because I've heard it hurts more if you get it across the ankle bone.
So my question for you guys (I'm too lazy to actually go make a poll) is
1.) Do you think I should get a tatoo?
2.) And if so, do you think that location is good?
3.) And if so, what, if anything, do you think I should write below it?
I kinda want it to say INFINITY stretching the length of the symbol right below it, but Jen seems to think that's dumb, so I'm looking for further input.
If I do decide to definitely do it, I think I'm gonna wait until I get my paycheck from fireworks which will be a few weeks, and go get it done with some of that money. Shouldn't cost too much cuz it's just gonna be plain black and pretty small.

Oh, the one thing that I meant to say! Apparently, sunshine and fresh air do not agree with me. I am totally breaking out, like, worse than I ever have in a long damn time. It's kind of ridiculous.

That is all. I should probably re-read this for typos made because of sleepiness... but I'm prolly too sleep to notice them.

Gonna go pass out now as it's after 4 AM. -- Or not. Helen just got here. Yay! Oz season 2!
Macy: "Are you about to blow something up?"
Nigel: "...maybe"
Macy: "Well don't."
Nigel: "Damn."
...
...
... *muffled boom*
-"Crime and Punishment"

Nigel: "Macy, how do you feel about the seedy underworld of pimps and hoes?"
-"With Honor"

Macy: "Spread 'em, Nigel."
Nigel: "I'd really rather not..."
-"With Honor"

La la la. I went for a bike ride today. First time I've ridden my bike in... probably a year or two. Zoe and I rode about two miles all told. I'm gonna be feeling it tomorrow I'm sure, but it was nice.

And, now that I've proven that I have no life, I shall further elaborate the point by going on and on about tv shows.

Crossing Jordan

I watched "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" on A&E tonight. First episode with Woody... what a *dork* he was! I think it makes me appreciate season 4 Woody much more because I see how he started out. And the scene where the whole group is bonding at Jordan's housewarming party is just... *priceless*. I think I'm gonna have to watch it when it comes on again in an hour just to hear Bug hesitantly reading off the card... "Where is the naughtiest place you've ever had a shag?" Three cheers for Nigel and his back-up plans.
ETA: ... how did I fail to notice the first time through that Macy is wearing a vibrant purple shirt for the first 20 mins of the ep? *pets Macy*
And a bajillion points to Jordan for referring to Macy as her girlfriend. Twice.
Jordan: "Garrett, you just head-butted that guy!" Macy: "Yeah, I know. Come on!"
Macy: "Why would you want to have sex 6 times in one day? We're people, not bunnies!" Drunken!Lily: "Dr. Macy said bunnies!" ~all laugh muchly~
Nigel: "I *want* to hear you say it." Bug: "Alright... I'm curious."

Tonight I also watched "Oh, Brother Where Art Thou?"... I think I liked the episode... Of course, since I had absolutely no idea what was actually going on, it's hard to say for sure. I guess it might have made more sense if I'd seen more than a single episode out of all of season 2 and 3. But mad props to CJ for the fact that it had Michael T. Weiss. *sigh* I love the pretender, even when he's not being Jarod. ~Randomly distracted... how soon is Pretender season 2 coming out?~

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

In non-Crossing Jordan news, I got *way* confused today watching a re-run of SVU. It was "Ridicule" from season 3. Guest starring in it was Diane Neal... a.k.a. Casey Novak. Except it was a season and a half before she ever played Novak. I was totally confused until I looked it up. I was like "Casey, why aren't you being Casey? You are Casey, right? Am I going crazy?" She was playing a stock broker chick who was accused of raping a male stripper. Yeah. I don't know if I'll be able to see Novak in exactly the same way I did before. Does anyone else find it odd that they had someone guest star rather prominently in an episode and then brought them back to be a *different* *main* character? It was way mind-fuck-y to watch Cabot grilling what my mind kept insisting was Novak. o.O;

Guh. Everytime I think that Crossing Jordan couldn't possibly be any better... I see another episode that proves me wrong all over again. "Blue Christmas" If not for the teensy bit of Bug/Lily-ness at the end it would be perfect. I <3 AmbiguousSexuality!Nigel... *sigh*
"Now just hold on to my hips and leave the *driving* to me..."

Also, I seem to have obtained a slight sunburn on my shoulders. How did this happen? I'm nocturnal, damnit!

Throwaway line from "Digger" - Nigel has a tattoo of Betty Boop on his left buttcheek?!?

Curse you, Amazon! Bring me the Angel soundtrack! I ordered it last Monday! The main place they ship from is less than three hours away! *smites*
*Checks on Shipment* Why haven't you shipped yet?! Everything was in stock! *curses*

"Digger" is my new favorite Crossing Jordan episode evAr! How did I not know that Nigel proposed to Bug? (I choose to ignore the fact that Bug refused him. It takes even Nigel a little while to seduce someone.) Granted, he also proposed to like everyone else in the universe, but he did ask Bug first! And that is only the beginning of my love for this episode. I *really* would love to see the picture that Nigel took. Really, really.
I just had to say that. Now I have to go finish reading my f-list.

Curses! Tonight's Crossing Jordan re-run on A&E has been pre-empted so they can show some special about Star Wars. Grr. I hate Star Wars. The only one of all of them that I've ever seen is Episode 1; I watched it once a few years after it came out when I was at a friend's house.

Why is the season finale of Criminal Intent being shown on Wednesday? Tv needs to stop stressing me out. Now. *rawr*

~Currently on Book 3 of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events~

And hooray for my new Boondock Saints icons! That is such a good movie... *sigh* I can't wait for the sequel to come out.

Watching "You Can't Go Home Again". Crossing Jordan re-runs make life worth living. :)

Very good episode, I really liked the subplot with Macy trying to find a present for his daughter's 17th birthday.
Macy: "My dad got me a chemistry set when I was her age and look how I turned out?"
Jordan just looks at him.
...later...
Macy: "Would you have appreciated a chemistry set?"
Lily: "Sure, then I could have made my own drugs instead of buying them from my brother's friends. ... ... ... kidding."
...
Lily: "So what are you gonna get her?"
Macy: "Not a chemistry set."
...later...
Macy: "What did you want for your 17th birthday?"
Nigel: "Leather pants and unlimited sexual favors."
Macy: "What'd you get?"
Nigel: "You mean besides that?"

Other golden moments-

Bitchy boss chick, with a condescending look: "There are no bad cases, just bad coroners"
Jordan: "Did you read that on a coffee mug somewhere?"

Nigel identifying the cake by smell alone was just... weirdly cute and sexy.

Macy listening to Jay Z's "Big Pimpin" trying to get in touch with his daughter's taste in music. *hilarious*

Bug's comments about clowns being scary was incredibly funny... and him talking about writing Star Trek pr0n is just... priceless.
Why isn't there more Crossing Jordan fanfic, damnit?!?

Yay! Finally got to watch Crossing Jordan! It was awesome... and heartbreaking. *sob* Come back, Macy! ~I'm okay, I'm fine.~

In other news, mom bought Carnivale season 1 on DVD, so I guess after tonght's CJ re-run on A&E I'm gonna start watching that. Anybody seen it? Is it any good? I'd never even heard of it until recently. o.O;

Crossing Jordan re-runs are the best thing ever. *Ever* Jordan was way hot in this ep. "Born to Run" is quite possibly my favorite episode now...
Jordan getting a lap dance at a strip club... *rowr* And then Jordan getting in the stripper's head complete with pole dancing... Yum. *pantpant* Nevermind the fact that Jordan gets *laid*! Several times, most likely. With a pretty cute guy.
I'm okay. I'm fine. I am not gonna pass out from the hotness of Jordan; no I'm not. Why aren't there screencaps of this ep? Or moving icons...? *drool*
The whole, Nigel figuring things out with his magical notebooks full of stuff was pretty neat especially when he had his little "Yes, I get turned on by showing off my mad skillz" smile going on. And hooray for Bug actually, ya know, playing with bugs! Three cheers for this episode it rocks.
*sigh* Now if my download would just finish so that I can watch the season 4 finale... It claims that it will be finished in a few hours, but I think I'll just go to bed and hope it's finished when I wake up. Tomorrow is another day. Nevermind the fact that it's well after midnight and thus it technically already is tomorrow and thus tomorrow is *today*... now I'm not even making sense to myself. Jordan's hotness broke my brain. Gah. I'm really gonna stop gushing now. Really. Guh.

I am a good girl! I have thusfar managed to read my f-list without sneaking into any of the spoilers even the *very* tempting looking fic... At the current rate of download... I should be able to watch the season finale of CJ in about... 4 !$#$%##$ days. *smites the internets* Why do you hate me so?
I feel the need to share this link gleaned from my f-list. Holding Out for a Slash Fic <-- It's a *hilarious* filk to the song "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler. Fucking hilarious.

Curses. Foiled again.

Anyway, haven't seen CJ yet, but I'm working on it.
Went to BG today and saw Kriss. Yay!
Woke up Laura. Yay!
Failed to retrieve Jen's clothes from Laura as they were in the white van which had run away. Damn.
Picked up my paycheck. Yay!
Went to the bank. Yay!
And brought home sushi take-out. Yay!
Pretty good day thusfar. Now if I could just find that damn torrent file!
Sorry to those peeps I did not get the chance to wake up and harass this morning; we were on a tight schedule cuz mom had to get to a chiropractor's appointment at eleven-ish and we had to leave right after that. Better luck next week. I should be back next Monday. Yay!

Sorry I fell off the planet a bit. Got run over by family and stuff. My sis Susan randomly showed up today shortly after I woke up, then my bro Mikey and his girlfriend came... By the time Zoe and me got around to calling Helen to see where the heck she was, it was too late for us to go to BG, cuz Zoe had to get back in time to do homework and sleep, so we went to Clarksville instead. After we got back from walmart, I sat Helen down and made her watch Boondock Saints (which is, for the uninitiated, the awesome-est movie evAr) and got so caught up in it I missed Criminal Intent and Crossing Jordan! *sob* So, as soon as I get them downloaded and watch them, I'll catch up on my friendslist... I could go around the spoilers, but I don't have that much willpower, so I'm gonna stay away from my f-list until tomorrow at least. After finishing Boondock, Helen and I headed back to Clarksville because we wanted to catch the 11 pm showing of Kingdom of Heaven... unfortunately, when we got there, we were informed that they don't have any movies after 11 on sunday, only on friday and saturday. The only movie that was being shown that hadn't started yet was.... du du dah!... House of Wax... (uh oh, we really should've known better...) We figured, since we'd come all that way, we might as well see a movie, right? Right. Bad idea. Not as... jumpy!scary as Amityville, but about five times as fucked up... The first major cringe moment comes when a guy gets the back of his ankle cut with a pair of scissors while he's trying to escape... and it all goes downhill from there. I can almost *feel* the scissors... not good. I'm never going to sleep again. For some reason, I can handle death in horror movies much better than torture and mutilation... does that make me a freak? Also, I should *not* have bought gummi worms to eat during the movie. Just no. So, yeah, now I have to get up early in the morning to go to Bowling Green with mom. She's got a doctor's appointment at 11 am, and she wants to come home after it, so I have to get all my errands done before that... so I may end up calling on you guys earlier than is pleasant. Feel free to tell me to fuck off if you're sleeping. I can't decide if getting up will be more of a problem than I think because I'm too adrenaline-rushed to go to sleep for a long time... or if it will be easier than I think because I'm not going to be able to sleep in *ever*. Yeah, lovely. Should not have gone to see that movie.
Oh, and in other news, today, while Mikey and Margo were here, they were outside and they found a puppy! A tiny little adorable puppy. We think our dog is probably its daddy because the coloring is the exact same as his. Bruce said that he's seen a momma dog around outside with several pups, but this little one was all by herself and mommy and siblings seemed to have abandoned her. They took a good look around but they couldn't find any sign that she was coming back for the puppy. So we brought the little girl inside and cleaned her up and fed her and Michael called his roommate (who is about to move) and asked him if he wanted a puppy and he said he'd take her. So, yay for finding a home for the adorable lost puppy! It was so tiny and cuddly that I didn't want to let it go, but mom said we couldn't keep her. *cry* I think she was older than we expected when we first saw her because she was pretty aware and could nibble on grown-up dog food without too much difficulty, except for the fact that it was, ya know, almost as big as her mouth. Lots of tiny little pointy teeth. Arf! Bruce said the momma dog wasn't very big which may explain why the puppy was so small. She was an unbelievable precious little puppy. We took some pics of her, and once we get them developed, I'll try to remember to post some.
Shit! Why did I delete my "I save puppies!" icon? Oh well.

If you're reading this, it means that my net is back up, for now...

In RL-ness, I now sort of have a room to live in, and I even sort of found somewhere to put everything... yay!

Spoiler Warning for "Forget Me Not": But, hell, it's my damn LJ.

Anyway, despite my ultimate love for all things Bug/Nigel... I actually liked this episode. A lot. Even if silly Nigel was dating a girl. Maybe this will burn him from ever wanting to try it again. I also feel the need to emphasize the fact that just because he has a girlfriend, that doesn't mean he can't be bi.
Did anyone else notice at the beginning when Bug and Jordan were interrogating him about his new significant other, Jordan kept saying things like "Who is she?" but Bug was very gender-neutral... almost pointedly so, I thought. Do you think he knows something we don't?
And the dancer he apparently used to be with, Velvet was it?, that could be male or female, not way to tell really.
So Soccer Mom is not the end of the world for the idea of Nigel with a guy. Which pleases me. Especially with all the yummy tension and anger between Nigel and Bug in parts of the episode, but yay for them making up at the end. In a way, it was sort of like Bug was asking him out on a date... he was making it socially acceptable because Jordan was invited too, but hell he asked him out *twice*!
And I very much liked the end of the episode. The part of me that's obsessed with romantic happy endings spent a split second hoping he would run off to New Zealand with them... and then my brain kicked in and went "Wait, but then he'd be *gone*!" so I came to my senses. Obviously Sarah and Beth (who I think were definitely together) never intended to invite him, and I think I agree with Nige's theory that Sarah picked him especially to help the ruse go over better. They planned this around him, that must mean they needed him there, right? Maybe Nigel only liked her because she threw herself at him so hard, he was blinded to reality. And in the end, he came to his senses and did the right thing. He didn't love Soccer Mom, he just got temporarily caught up in the little world she designed to entrap him.
And may I just say that the little girl being so fond of him was absolutely fucking *adorable*! It made me want to cuddle him more than usual. I need to go download this episode so I can watch it again.
...oh, one last thing, the whole Lily/Macy thing with the old amnesiac guy... it was awesome. Pure, tv gold. Lily was all "love cures all" and Macy was all hard and cynical... but eventually *he* was the one who found out who the guy was and helped to get them back together... proof that underneath that hard exterior... he's a big fluffy cuddly marshmallow. Yup, Macy's a marshmallow. I just want to eat him up. Yum. *done now*
(It occurs to me that the mental image of Bug asking "Did anyone lose a naked man?" could come in handy in other situations.... hmm....)
(Also, Nigel was *way* *hot* during like this entire episode... I mean, he's always cute, but today I didn't want to *blink*)

I'll update about my RL and why I slightly fell of the planet after I check the accumulations to my f-list since *Friday* afternoon, I just had to spit this out. I can't wait until next week for the season finale!!!
