Umm, yeah, I've totally been doing things lately. Things like, umm, listening to a lot of Midtown for no reason in particular. Especially "Just Rock & Roll". IDK.
Also, watching Panic's new video and LOLing for ever and ever at its hilarious ridiculous awesomeness. ♥
Also, ever-so-slightly bemoaning the fact that I apparently enjoy being broker than fuck. That is the only explanation for the amount of concerts I'm planning to go to in the next several months.
The List:
Friday February 15th - Sommet Center, Nashville - Brad Paisley 7:30
Friday March 28 - Rocketown, Nashville - We the Kings, Valencia, The Cab, etc 6:00 (doors?)

Thursday April 24 - Sommet Center, Nashville - Bon Jovi w/ Daughtry 7:30
Sunday May 18 - Egyptian Room, Indianapolis, IN - HCT feat. Panic!
Friday May 30 - The Pageant, St. Louis, MO - HCT feat. Panic!
Friday, June 13 - Verizon Amphitheatre, St. Louis (Maryland Heights), MO - Rascal Flatts w/ Taylor Swift
Friday, July 4 - Verizon Amphitheatre, St. Louis (Maryland Heights), MO - Tim McGraw w/ Jason Aldean & Halfway to Hazard
7/30/cincinnati/wednesday or 7/31/indianapolis/thursday or 8/02/chicago/saturday - Warped
Yeah. 9 shows across 3 states, none of which are the one I live in, and a feckload of money. *sigh* I really wish people would come to places that were actually at least *marginally* convenient. :( And I still haven't figured out how the hell I'm going to manage Warped but I freaking have to make it, because how can I resist the call of The Academy Is... (Happy 23rd B-day William, btw!), Gym Class Heroes, & Cobra Starship all being scheduled for it? Bring It! With 3/4th of the Cobra Supergroup!!! Gah. Driving five hours to shows would be a lot less distasteful if it wasn't almost every show.
And now for something completely different. Okay, not completely different. Patrick Stump shaved his sideburns. This is relevant in that, said (Adorable!) sideburns were the main reason
silva_draconis cited in her resistance to bandom on my first attempt (hahaha, I thought Gabe was creepy! I am over that so hard. ♥ ).
I figured new, sideburn-free Patrick deserved a new chance. Unfortunately there are not really that many pictures yet since it's only been like, a week and a half. But here's what I've got:

PStump got kidnapped by somebody to help cover a Police song at a pre-Grammy party. I don't know why, but I am hard pressed to complain.
An entirely-too-short clip of said shenanigans.
Several pictures from DirecTV's Celeb Beach Bowl thing where FOB played. First public occurence of sideburn-less Patrick:

That batch of pics is not really the most attractive set I have seen of him, on the whole. Sometimes he makes odd, not all that attractive faces when he sings (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Then again, sometimes he also makes ridiculously hot orgasm faces when he sings (4th, 5th), so I guess it's win some, lose some. He looks much more like his usual hot-ass self in the first one up top with his glasses. I always approve of his glasses. Also, better hat, clothes, lighting, and pretty much everything. But alas, it is a tiny picture.
But I suppose the Beach Bowl pics are nice in that they remind me of tiny!hot!baby!Patrick from way back when, pre-sideburns:

Sleepy baby!

I don't know. I want to, but I don't.

Happy baby!

Gnuh.

So damn precious, jeez.
So, reminding me of tiny!PStump is not really a bad thing, just a bit disconcerting. He's had the sideburns for a damn long time.
I don't actually really have a preference for sideburns or not, I pretty much love his fucking face always and in all ways:

Of course, I especially love his face when it is smushed up against Pete Wentz's. But that almost goes without saying. Almost. (Precious, precious fanvid.)
Homework, a few fics I think you might especially like/that seemed like not too bad a place to start (perhaps a bit heavy on the AU & crack):
The Wolf Prince by
iphignia939 (Pete/Patrick, AU, R/NC17)
SUMMARY: Handsome prince, check; young person bearing up alone under circumstances, check; man and woman -- waaaaaaait a minute.
Fairy tale AU! \o/ Angst! \o/ Happy endings! \o/ Wolves! \o/
Patricksitting (Call It A Love Song) by
adellyna (Pete/Patrick, NC17, AU, underage shenanigans)
"I'm here for Patricksitting. I assume you're the Patrick?"
There is nothing about this that is not awesome. 16-year-old-Patrick and 21-year-old-Pete if they met in a different way. \o/
asking to be born by
longtime_lurker (Pete/Patrick, NC17, Mpreg)
"For chrissakes, Pete, you vote pro-choice."
"Yeah," says Pete, "emphasis on the choice," and oh, no. Patrick knows that particular tone.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm pretty strongly of the opinion that there can never be enough mpreg in the world ever (yes, I know I'm weird, people), but I love that when bandom does it, they bloody well do it right.
Happy with the Consequence by
txtequilanights (Pete/Patrick, NC17, PWP)
Usually, when they come off-stage, it’s Pete attaching himself to Patrick, arm around his shoulders, face pushed into his neck. But tonight Pete doesn’t even have a chance to reach his hand out before Patrick is on him.
Sex Pollen Fic! Also? I hereby nominate this for best characterization in a PWP! \o/ Seriously, awesome.
just make sure our plots are matching (and next to each other) by
ashairam (Pete/Patrick, PG13, sort of character death)
Summary: You were afraid that you would disappear, that you would be lost and forgotten. I held you tight against the dark and said that I would always come for you. Then one day it happened. You were torn from my arms and vanished from this world.
Maybe you don't remember my promise. But I meant every word. I hope you are not afraid, wherever you are. You don't need to be. I'm not.
I will find you. -- xkcd

Hallelujah (A badly kept secret and not such a mistake) by
forevernew (Pete/Patrick, R/NC17, AU, underage shenanigans)
Summary: Churchverse AU. Pete is a Catholic Deacon and Patrick is an acolyte.
Guh. So epic and just so wonderful and occasionally heart-wrenching. Also, it's one of those AUs that sort of dove-tails towards canon in the end, which always, always, always gets points with me.
Make My Troubles Rhyme and companion piece Gather No Moss by
giddygeek (Pete/Patrick, R & PG, magical realism)
Summary: Sort of an AU. Mostly just the other side of the story.
These seriously might be the best fics I've ever read. Seriously, ever. I... just... I can't even really explain it. And the magical realism is so perfect. For some reason bandom is kind of big on magical realism and I approve of this trend so, so, so hard.
So, yeah, that should get you started should you feel so inclined. And if you want more specific recommendations past that, just poke me and I'll throw some more at you.
Extra Credit: My Pete/Patrick tag at del.icio.us. Or you could skip my opinions and go straight for everything with that tag ranked by popularity... but I like to think I have fairly helpful notes on most of my saved links.
Further Reading: I tend to satisfy most of my bandom fic needs with
bandslashmania which is a lovely, lovely comm, but is all of bandom, not just FOB or Pete/Patrick.
patrickxpeter is a pretty decent-looking comm that is All About the PxP love, which - hard to see any bad in that. And then, of course, there's also
dotcoms_refresh, the amazingly exhaustive bandom newsletter. They sort all the fics by band and list pairings if available, so it would be pretty easy to just pick through for the stuff you're interested in. I, unfortunately, tend to get scared off by the size of the newsletter most days because there's pretty much nothing in bandom I won't read.
Obligatory Warning: Pete/Patrick is a known gateway drug. Possible side effects include reading Panic!, MCR, TAI, GCH, & CS fic, squeeing uncontrollably, tinhatting, and massive amounts of joy. Occasionally, other side effects may occur such as spending all of your money on concerts and spending all of your time sucked into bandom.
Wow can I ever get carried away.

I was also wondering, do you have a copy of Panics new album I could have? pls? Love yous!
From:

Hopefully more will become available well before the March 25th album drop date. *sadfaces at the lack of leaks* I mean seriously? A whole nother *counts* 40 DAYS?!?
* Well, there's sort of "We're So Starving", which is technically a track on the album, but is more of a joke/introduction than it is actually a song. I would upload it anyway but I never bothered to actually grab it and it's not up at their myspace anymore. I'm sure you could youtube it if you really want to hear it.
(Should I be trying to catch you up on Panic! fandom before concert time? Because I'm sure you would love that fandom, probably even more than FOB, but it's not quite as easy of a starting place because there's not really a hard-and-fast OTP [though Brendon/Ryan is pretty damn common] and also, it can be hard to tell those boys apart at first because they are all kind of tiny and pretty. But if you want Panic! canon and/or pics and/or fic recs, I can so do that.)
Also? Have you read anything I linked yet, have you read anything I linked yet, have you read anything I linked yet?
