Since when is University Senate opposed to debating?

Luckily this is only the first battle. It's still got to run the gauntlet past the Provost and the Board of Regents. I wish I could feel more hopeful about that.

Well, even if it does pass the Provost and Board of Regents, it probably wont affect us, now will it? So while you might oppose it on principle, it won't hurt you. :D

As proposed, it's not going into effect until fall of '08 and it's would be on a rolling basis, so you would have to be an incoming freshman then for it to have an effect (though students already enrolled at that point would have the option to choose to use +/-... not that I think any will).

So it won't affect you, either.
But that doesn't make it suck any less.

What really annoys me about it is that even the professor's don't want it. I've not heard a single professor ever say good things about it, nor have I had one yet that's even bothered to use it.
