I was NOT going to do Nanowrimo. I thought about it, but I couldn't come up with a good idea, so I said, oh well, maybe next year. And then I was just sitting here tonight, minding my own business, listening to my girlfriend bitch about her novel... when I was struck with inspiration. Right upside the head. I think it left a bump. Shit, I thought, I am *not* going to start Nanowrimo almost 5 days behind! And yet... here I am. I started typing three and a half hours ago and I currently have almost 3300 words. I tried to kill the plot bunny, really I did. But now I'm screwed because it's caught me up and I want to know where the damn story is going. At first it was just the character, and then the story has started coming to me, slowly but surely as I move along. Feck. *cries* I don't have time for this! I have to write 2 term papers this month! *dies*
*sigh* I guess, if anyone is interested in reading my novel, I can post it as I go. It's non fannish. I think the protagonist is accidentally mostly me, but then again, most authors write themselves into their characters to some extent. Anyway, it's about a 9-year-old girl named Nessie (actually, her name is Agnes, but nobody calls her that).
So, let me know if you're interested in reading it.

I haven't heard, and Jen usually just says "NaniMiwro" or whatever, and it all runs together, and sounds funny. And no one's ever actually explained it, just refrenced it. I figured it was a fanfic writing contest thingy, or something. ~shrugs~
Besides, school munches my soul with a side of Cornflakes everday, regularly. :-P
