Damn, she beat me to posting!
So, yesterday me and Jen had to take Rita to the emergency room.
Because she was having an allergic reaction.
To something.
Whatever.
She's fine now.
Not the point of this story.
The point of the story is that since we were already out and about, Jen and I decided to go shopping after we left Rita safely in the care of her mommy and the hospital. So we went to Wal-mart. And the mall. And out for chinese food. But the grand total of this experience is that I ended up spending nearly $150 on x-mas presents and stuff. At least it's november so I don't feel like a complete loser for buying x-mas presents already ~*cough*Jen*cough*~.
Thusfar I've only bought stuff for... 4 different people. I'm having a major block trying to figure out what to get some people. *grr*
I've almost entirely decided what to get for a few people, I just haven't actually gone out and gotten it yet. And I don't know where the hell I'm going to store all this crap after I have it. Damn dorm. But Yay! for shopping!!! I get a truly unhealthy level of satisfaction out of spending money. I'm such an American. I almost think I should be ashamed of this... nope.
Anyway, what should I get my mommy for x-mas?

You mentioned Wal-Mart. Did you know that shopping there is giving money to a company that has consistently engaged in some pretty Un-American and unethical labor practices (including child labor and union-busting)?

Because I actually think that legs are a selling point, especially if he was wearing a nice pair of pumps at the time.
Oh, and allergies--scary stuff. My son came down with hives when he was a few years old, and even though it was nothing more than that, seeing him go all spotty scared me to death.

I mean, I'm sympathetic to the pull. I'm currently sort of boycotting Target (long my "happy" company) because of their stupid thing about saying, "Yeah, sure, pharmicists can just not give out the morning after pill" with very vague and meaningless reassurances that their customers will be taken care of.
And Target's where I get *everything*.
I can only hope that IKEA never does anything nasty, as I'd probably fall over dead from Swedish Apple-cake withdrawal.

You know what my plans are? I want to send you all a HUGE package from Japan with thingies wrapped up in it--like...yaoi manga, GOOD, AUTHENTIC pocky, etc, etc...
Maybe kimonos, tabi, zori, and geta, provided they aren't crazy expensive. Maybe yukata, instead of kimono, as kimono are much more....ceremonial? They like, never wear them anymore, really. They usually wear yukata.
/babble.
Anyway! ^.^ I want to do that--send you all a nice package. In one package...O.O;;; Let you all dig through it!
Dear god, this semester is going way too fast--I don't think I'm prepared for it...
O.o

I don't suppose you have anything stronger than Ibuprofen, or Tylenol, for headaches, do you?
