Went to see The Terminal with Helen. (In case you don't remember the previews, it's the one with Tom Hanks who is a foreign guy who gets stuck living at the airport.) Was a very good movie, actually. It must have been because I was only minimally distracted by the fact that I spilled half my lemonade icee down my shirt (very cold, do not try at home). The Terminal was kinda like Castaway... in an airport. It made me want to live in an airport. Then again, after I read From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankenweiler I wanted to go live in a museum... And after reading My Side of the Mountain (quite possibly the only book we ever read in school that I *liked*) in 6th or 7th grade, I wanted to go live in a hollow tree in the forest. I guess good fiction just has that effect on me. Anyway, I also watched Eurotrip today because Helen bought it. We started watching it before we left for the theater, then finished it when we came back. Which was a little surreal.
My mommy hosted a scrapbooking party (think Tupperware party, Pampered Chef party, sex toys party, etc. except with scrapbooking materials) earlier this evening, well, yesterday if you want to get technical about it. I was more or less forced to attend, but I didn't really mind. I made a scrapbook page with baby pictures of Zoe on one side of the page and early pictures of Aileen on the other side. Aileen was a *really* cute kid. I'll show the page to all of you guys when we're back in the dorm. The problem with this scrapbooking party thing is that it made me want to do more. So then, once I was finally in for the evening I hunted down all the stray packets of pictures in my room and looked through them. There are easily the equivalent of ten rolls of film. And that's just after a ten-minute search. There are probably more - not to mention the roll of film tucked somewhere in one of my boxes with pics of you guys. Scrapbooks are evil, but I'm getting the feeling that I will soon have many of them. Oh well.
I'm quite certain that nothing I've said thusfar has any resemblance to what I intended to say in this post. Hopefully whatever I meant to say will come back to me eventually. I just wanted to drop a quick line. I really ought to go to bed soon as I haven't had a proper night's sleep in several days. And Slave-Driver!Tamie will be back bright and early Monday morning to torture everyone some more. Joy!
Oh! I think I remembered what I meant to do with this post! Does anyone know when Laura's supposed to come back? I probably ought to coordinate with her as soon as she's back in the state, especially if I intend to ride to the airport with her. ^_^ Anyway, love you guys. Night! (Well, morning, if you want to get *technical* about it!)
