I love concerts. Even though I will most certainly be dead by Monday after going to 3 concerts in 4 days.
Trapt was in-fucking-credible. Aphasia and Blindside were both pretty damn good, too. Blindside gets bonus points for being Swedish and having cute accents and Aphasia gets bonus points for having a really fucking cool name and being from San Francisco.
During Aphasia, Jen and I were mostly just standing back and watching the same 6 guys trying to start a mosh pit and failing miserably. Then, for Blindside, Kriss and Laura hauled us up to the front and we ended up being like right next to mosh pit. Front row view of silly boys running into each other. Luckily, Kriss found a relatively sturdy and completely adorable freshman boy to take most of the brunt of the mosh pit attacks for us. ^.^
For the actual Trapt part of the concert, we were totally like two feet from the rail holding people back and almost dead center. We were a little further from the mosh pit so we got run into a lot less. But the crowd surfers were in full swing by that point. We saw one chick go by like five separate times.
As a told Rita:
Crowd surfers getting dropped on their heads is great!
Getting crowd surfers dropped on MY head is not.
But we survived it anyway. Though I was worried for a few minutes that Jen was gonna start murdering people when a guy got dropped on her head crotch-first. Not cool.
So, in summation: Concerts kick ass, crowd surfing is fun to watch and mock but somewhat less fun to experience smacking you in the skull, and mosh pit boys are smelly.
Now I have to go take a shower.
My girlfriend is still waiting in line to get autographs and touch the hands of a man who has made a video with Michelle Trachtenburg. This may lead to spontaneous orgasm. :)
