James Doohan has passed away
About five years ago, just before his last child was born, Mom took me and Zoe to a Star Trek convention in Nashville on a whim. James Doohan was there signing autographs and answering questions and such, and I remember being surprised at how honestly *nice* a guy he was.
Somewhere I have a picture of the original Enterprise NCC-1701 that he signed. I've always treasured it and I guess now I have one more reason to.
